JUAN RIVAS

📍📍📍📍📍 During the festival Juan moved all around the town looking for the most interesting locations to leave his impressionist mark.
📍📍📍📍📍 He carried out a total of 10 interventions on posts and lampposts that you can easily see and geolocate in the MAP section.

Rivas creates small-scale interventions, in a play that contrasts with the monumentality of murals and in which he subtly integrates his work into the environment, with a special interest in the areas between the city and the village.

His painting is an approach to landscape, focusing on nature and architecture with the intention of exploring the malleability of the rural world and its relationship with the urban environment.

His pieces play with double visions, painting on urban furniture (lampposts, posts, signs, etc.) so that in the final result we can admire both the artwork and the painted reality at the same time, with the furniture itself acting as a canvas.

His technique, with clear impressionist influences, combines quick drawing with ephemeral materials such as chalk, markers, pastel, or acrylic paint. The process is reversed compared to the traditional one: first he paints the landscape and then takes the photograph, also seeking to capture the texture of the support and the light of the moment.
